Press Release: Play Together Read Together Wins Mom’s Best Literary Gold Award
Sparta, NJ: Mom’s Best Award recently announced their Outstanding 2014 Literary Gold Winners, and Melissa Young, an author from Sparta, wrote two of the five winning books. Melissa’s winning books, “A Pal” and “It” are part of Play Together Read Together’s storybook game series, which help teach children to read through game-play. Each book comes with a card game that teaches children the words from the corresponding story.
Mom's Best Literary Gold is an awards program in which children’s books are evaluated by real moms, grandparents and reading specialists. About Melissa Young: Melissa Young is the creator and founder of Play Together Read Together, LLC. She earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to teach second grade in the public elementary classroom. Upon leaving the classroom to stay home with her son and daughter, she became actively involved in preparing them for school. Melissa spent several years designing, testing, and perfecting a series of word games, which relieve stress and self-motivate children to read. Melissa lives with her husband and two children in Sparta, NJ.
